In this text, we explore the definitions of narrative research, its methods, critical questions, ethical and social implications, as well as analyze its current relevance and future implications for <strong>qualitative research<\/strong> in the academic context. We also consider the role of technologies such as <strong>requalify.ai<\/strong>, <strong>Nvivo<\/strong>, <strong>Atlas.ti<\/strong>, <strong>MaxQDA<\/strong> and <strong>Iramuteq<\/strong> to facilitate the process of analyzing narratives, especially in the context of qualitative data analysis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Introduction<\/h2>\n<p>To the <strong>stories<\/strong> The stories we tell or hear shape our perception of the world and influence the way we connect with other people. Currently, with the support of <strong>software for qualitative data analysis<\/strong> and even solutions <strong>qualitative research with AI<\/strong>, like the <strong>requalify.ai<\/strong>, this process becomes more dynamic and comprehensive.<\/p>\n<p>This article shows how narrative research provides the researcher with a new perspective on <em>construction of meaning<\/em> and contextual influences on the act of narration. Related terms include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Narrative Analysis:<\/strong> Focuses on how the story is constructed, looking at plot patterns, characters and themes (Treloar et al., 2014).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Narrative Investigation:<\/strong> It emphasizes the co-construction of meanings in the dialogue between participant and researcher, exploring not only history, but also the dynamics that produce it (Juntunen &amp; Lehenkari, 2019).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Storytelling:<\/strong> It encompasses the intuitive act of telling experiences, connecting past, present and future events from a cultural and historical perspective (McAleese &amp; Kilty, 2019).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These complementary definitions help us understand that narrative is not just a form of communication, but an essential part of identity construction and the way we understand the world (Byrne, 2016).<\/p>\n<h3>Importance of Context<\/h3>\n<p>In narrative research, the <strong>context<\/strong> is as important as the story itself (Stejskalov\u00e1 &amp; \u0160trach, 2015). Factors such as social class, gender, ethnicity, geographic location and personal experiences shape the way each person tells and interprets their experience. Consequently, analyses that ignore these variables may incur distortions or oversimplifications.
